Team development

Teams are the building blocks for organizational ambitions. Teams often focus on results and content. However paradoxical it may be: the 'hard' result will only come if sufficient work has been done on the 'soft' relational, interpersonal aspects.

Team coaching with appropriate interventions supports the development process for a trusted relationship and appropriate interaction between team members. By creating 'developing space', the connection and trust between team members accelerates. This is the basis for good results. I am MBTI certified, TMA certified and Insights Discovery accredited.

  • Creating a high performance team

    Team development contributes to improve the interaction between team members and achieving the team task. Using each other's talents and seeing genuine added value in working together on a team assignment creates mutual trust and results.

    A high performance team will learn together, they have exciting dialogues and apply the differences of all team members. The team is able to make committed decisions to achieve their results.

    Do you work in a new team and is there the need for clear goals and results?

    Would you like to increase trustworthy interaction between team members?

    Would you like for team members to provide feedback on behalf of results or behaviour?

    Are their unspoken conflicts and is there tension?

    Would you like to learn as a team to make committed decisions and make progress in execution?

    What does it bring you?

    • Team members trust each other, apply their differences and work efficiently together;
    • Inefficient pattern in the interaction will be clear and team members learn to adjust;
    • Team members feel responsible for results;
    • The team discusses ‘healthy conflicts’ and learn to tolerate the tension.
  • Conflict coaching

    Quote "Differences enrich when we do want to listen to eachother".

    There is always conflict. Because we are different from each other and we see different realities. This is enriching, if we listen to each other and speak up our differences. A conflict can turn into polarisation, if 'we-she thinking' occurs.

    At the same time polarisation helps to innovate, to become more resilient and flexible. Creating a 'healthy conflict' where you can openly discuss the differences can be productive. With conflict coaching I will listen to both of you, ask the difficult questions, and challenge you people to listen and look to different perspectives. With a neutral attitude I will expose the differences, create acceptation, use the polarisation and help you find solutions that work in your team. My ambition is to create a work environment with room for diversity and utilize the differences for more durable decissions.

    What does it bring you?

    • A learning experience about yourself and the effect on others;
    • Letting go of a judgemental attitude;
    • Skills and confidence to utilize differences in complex situations;
    • Taking durable decisions with room for the differences.
  • Breaking patterns in your team

    Every team has to deal with team dynamics and behavioral patterns. Some are very useful, others hinder optimal cooperation. Each team member brings in their own preferred pattern. In sessions we share the patterns and develop more efficient patterns to improve interaction between people. This requires to reflect and take responsibility for the more strategic perspective of a team task.

    What does it bring you?

    • Team members develop insights in team dynamics and the effect;
    • Team members will influence patterns and team dynamics that inhibit progress;
    • Team members choose more consciously their behaviour that serves the team result and ambition.
  • Making decisions with your team

    The process of reaching a decision is just as important as the decision itself. A clear decision-making method ensures real decisions, no compromises, but a clear choice with 100% support. Using techniques from Deep Democracy, I work with the dynamics in groups and teams around decision-making. By involving the unconscious part of the group, taking the time to hear all voices, you create commitment and movement in difficult decisions.

    What does it bring you?

    • Skills as a leader to facilitate the decision-making process in your team;
    • Practicing with the process of decision making looking at contradictions and paradoxical thinking;
    • Dealing effectively and inclusively with contradictions, tensions and dilemma's;
    • Skills to think from 'Either – Or' to 'And – And';
    • Making decisions that create movement,  change and progress.
  • Intervision and learning groups

    Learning mostly takes place in interaction with others. That is why your personal and professional development requires organizing a learning process. As a leader it can be lonely and you don't always want to learn with your own team members. That is why I organize Peergroup learning. We can set this up inside or outside your organization. You will receive peer coaching and consultation with peers.

    What does it bring you?

    • Accelerate and deepen your personal and professional development;
    • Insights and advice about issues and dilemma's;
    • To meet qualified ‘peers’ and expand your network.
  • Working on your team assignment

    Assignments are becoming increasingly complex. Combining expertise and talent is necessary from several fields and parts of a organization. This often requires cross-departmental cooperation. With team development you learn how to build a 'temporary team' and how to work together effectively, so that you use all expertise for the purpose of achieving the task.
